Crowd control today! Basically today I get to sit here and make sure the liquid mixture flows smoothly, calmly and collectively out of the stomach. Pretty chill day.6 Hours of sleep. I am running on caffeine now. Today my job is to break down the pizza and make it into a liquidy mixture. Good thing Susan is healthy or this would be a lot more work. Fingers crossed for getting off work on time today.Just gotta push through it! Today I am in charge of storing the food so that the other workers can catch up. 18 hour shift. Told you it was going to be crazy. It is always good to have a few short and easy days when you know for the next 15 days it is going to consist of long hard exhausting days. Today is the start of 15 rough days. Today my job all day long is to mix everything together. I have to mix juices the stomach secretes for me with the pizza and other food Susan ate and I have to make sure any bacteria that slipped into the pizza is killed off so Susan stays healthy.Well the good thing is yesterday was a short day so I got to catch up on some sleep, but now it is time to be back at it! Today is going to be another easy and short day. Today my job is to help the muscles in the very beginning of the stomach contract and squeeze the pizza so it does not end up back in the esophagus.Wow that was a long ride, I am so glad it is over, I am exhausted! Today, my job was to make sure this pizza goes to Susan's stomach and not into her trachea and into her lungs or else she will suffocate or get an infection. It was a successful, I got the pizza to go down the correct tube with no fight at all.I DID IT! The pizza is now chewed up in tiny pieces and my fancy tool called the tongue is ready to push the pizza down Susan's pharynx or throat. It is swallowing time! Jump on Board! Downnnn weeeeee GOOOOOOO!I was now in control of that piece of pizza. It is my job to make sure Susan gets everything see needs to be able to stay awake in school. Today's goal is to get this pizza chewed up well enough so tomorrow I can go to the next step in the search for nutrients for Susan. So there i was, one day wondering if every part of me meant something to Susan our host. At that moment Susan opened her mouth, the start of my work day was about to begin. |
